Chloroprene Rubber (CR), commonly known as Neoprene®, was historically the preferred material for manufacturing products exposed to oils and fuels.
While it is now considered to offer only moderate resistance to these substances, Neoprene® remains a versatile solution due to its superior performance against a wide range of degrading agents—including oils, ozone, chemicals, and heat—compared to Natural Rubber.

That said, Neoprene® does have lower physical properties in certain aspects. Nevertheless, its exceptional airtightness makes it an ideal choice for producing various inflatable structures.
Additionally, Neoprene® boasts excellent fire resistance and can even be formulated to be self-extinguishing when required.

Polyester, the world’s most widely produced synthetic fiber, is a linear polymer primarily composed of ester functions (at least 80%) and terephthalic acid.
Known for its lightweight and flexible properties, polyester yarn offers excellent resistance to ultraviolet radiation and low flammability.
With a softening point of 245°C and a melting point of 250°C, it retains strong shape memory, making it ideal for use in coated fabrics.
Additionally, when woven properly, polyester facilitates effective heat dissipation.
